Dr. William S. Hunt, DMD
Dr. William (Bill) Hunt proudly continues the legacy of his father and grandfather by providing oral health care for people in and around the Poquoson, VA area. A graduate of Poquoson High School, Dr. Bill completed his undergraduate studies at the Virginia Military Institute and went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry at The Medical University of South Carolina.
After completing dental school, Dr. Bill served in the Army Dental Corps in Fort Bragg, NC and would continue to serve as a dentist in the Army Active Reserves after returning to Poquoson. He served three tours, including a tour at Camp Liberty in Baghdad, Iraq before retiring as a colonel.
Through Hunt Sleep Solutions, Dr. Bill is excited to extend his range of services to help those who struggle with disordered sleep. Beyond his training in sleep apnea treatment, he has continued post graduate studies at the Pankey Institute for Dental Education in Key Biscayne, FL; the Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Study in St. Petersburg, FL; the Las Vegas Institute of Advanced Dental Studies; the Nash Institute for Dental Learning in Charlotte, NC; and Spear Education.
Dr. Bill is a proud member of his community and a member of the Hampton Roads German Club, the Poquoson Masonic Lodge No. 49, and Scottish Rite. He has also served on multiple boards, including Old Point National Trust, Virginia Air and Space Center, St. Andrew’s Episcopal School, and more.
Dr. Dawn T. Hunt, DMD
Dr. Dawn Hunt completed her undergraduate degree at the College of Charleston before earning her degree as a Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry at the Medical University of South Carolina. During her time at the Medical University, she met and would later marry Hunt Sleep Solutions’ Dr. Bill.
Hunt Sleep Solutions provides Dr. Dawn an opportunity to deliver more care to the people of Poquoson, in this case through the treatment of a potentially serious sleep disorder. Outside of her original schooling on her path to becoming a dentist, she has continued her studies at the Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education in Key Biscayne, FL; the Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Study in St. Petersburg, FL; the Las Vegas Institute of Advanced Dental Studies; the Nash Institute for Dental Learning in Charlotte, NC; and Spear Education.
Outside of the office, Dr. Dawn is an active member of the Poquoson community and a member of the Huntington Garden Club and the Junior League. She has served on a number of boards, including the Virginia Living Museum, St. Andrew’s Episcopal School, and the Riverside Regional Medical Center Board.
